The Symposium, presented by the Galvin Electricity Initiative, was aimed at advancing the development and adoption of smart grid technology in the Midwest, and featured presenters from a variety of sectors including policy, energy, environmental, and technology organizations. The Symposium explored the relationship between electric grid modernization, economic development, and the environment.

CUE was one of 14 emerging companies selected to present its technology during the Innovation Marketplace Pitch and Showcase, to a panel of Judges represented leading corporate, investor, and government organizations. “The caliber of the start-ups presenting alongside us today shows a promising future for Smart Grid technologies,” said CUE Founder and CTO Vince Cushing. “We are honored to be recognized by such an esteemed panel of judges as a leader in CleanTech in the Midwest, and we thank the Clean Energy Trust for this opportunity.”

CUE was presented with the Judges’ Choice Award by Marianne Markowitz, Region V Administrator of the Small Business Association.
