Clemens Felsmann is a professor at the Technology University of Dresden. He has technical expertise in optimization, building control, and automation systems and has served as a consultant to the International Energy Agency. CUE has made major progress toward our goal of demonstrating our Phase 1 technology this summer. We are particularly excited about the high quality of the buildings that have agreed to partner with CUE in this important demonstration. This collection of buildings comprises more than three million square feet and two LEED-certified buildings. A partial listing includes:

• Chicago City Hall
• Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) headquarters
• Anixter Headquarters
• United Building (or 77 West Wacker)

Two of these buildings will participate in the PJM Economic Demand Response Program. This step will open even more potential for creating value from using energy more efficiently in commercial office buildings because it links to the needs of the electricity system operator.

Mr. Cushing writes that 2008 will be a break-out year for the many entrepreneurs in the demand-side industry.

Mr. Cushing presented CUE to investors on November 27 at the Midwest Alternative Energy Venture Forum sponsored by the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Bill Hederman chaired a panel at the World Energy Congress in Rome, Italy addressing energy market integrity. Panelists were Victoria Pao, president of Platts, Brad Page, CEO of Australian Energy Supply Association, Gary King, CEO of Dubai Mercantile Exchange, and Michael Vallochi, Global Partner, IBM Energy and Utility Solutions. At the invitation of the Secretary General of the World Energy Council, Hederman also briefed a WEC executive group on this panel. He met briefly with Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman at the Ambassador’s Rome residence the evening after the panel.

Messrs. Cushing, Braun, and Hederman presented CUE to the Irish Angels Investor Forum at their annual meeting in Chicago.
